Meet the Nursing Team Behind Our Exceptional Care

This International Nurses Day, we're celebrating the heartbeat of Sollis.

At Sollis Health, exceptional care doesn’t happen by accident. It’s built by the people who show up every day with skill, dedication, and genuine compassion: our nurses. This International Nurses Day, a few members of our unparalleled nursing team share why their passion for urgent and emergency medicine brought them to Sollis.

Why Our Nurses Choose Sollis

What draws a nurse to Sollis Health? It's more than a job. Our nurses come from some of the most rigorous clinical environments in the country (many with international experience) and they chose Sollis because they believe patients deserve better: more time, more attention, and more humanity.

Nathalie Orozco, RN, the Lead Nurse at our Coral Gables Center, brings seven years of nursing experience to her work. Educated at Illinois Wesleyan University, Nathalie sees Sollis as a model for what healthcare can—and should—become:

Sollis reflects what I believe is the future of healthcare—care that prioritizes the whole person, not just the diagnosis. To me, that means truly all-encompassing care: addressing not only the medical issue at hand, but also the patient’s broader context, needs, and goals. It’s a genuinely warm, patient-centered environment where people truly care.

That same commitment to relationship-driven care is what brought Katrina Serrano, RN, to our Water Mill Center in the Hamptons. With 16 years of experience and a degree from Chamberlain University, Katrina puts it simply:

Sollis is not generic. It is truly patient-centered care with bonded relationships.

For Brenda Chavez, RN, a nurse at our Beverly Hills Center, the difference comes down to time. A West Coast University graduate with nine years of experience, Brenda believes every patient deserves to feel heard, not hurried:

You should not have your care rushed, or simply not addressed, as frequently happens in urgent cares and emergency rooms. Here at Sollis, I am able to not only give patients the time they deserve, but get to know them, too.

Care that's Personalized, Not One Size Fits All

It's all too easy for unique health needs to get lost in the shuffle between urgent and emergency care, other health providers, and off-site diagnostics like labs and imaging. Sollis nurses aren't just passionate about what they do—they're given the opportunity to do it in a way that's fleetingly rare in traditional urgent and emergency care. Says Regional Clinical Nurse Manager Bridget Ellacott, RN, MSPH,

I care deeply about providing patients excellent nursing care. What appeals to me about Sollis is that by working here, as opposed to working in a chaotic hospital ER environment, I have the time and resources to be able to provide exceptional care.

Time is one challenge of providing truly personalized healthcare. Care coordination is another, especially when it comes to immediate medical needs. The standard of care often isn't enough, says Stefanie Roumeliotis, PA-C, Sollis's Director of Care Navigation.

With an urgent care or ER, there's no one following up with you after that visit, no one connecting the dots between you and this specialist you're supposed to see. If you don’t have a strong care team, you’re left to fend for yourself. Sollis is great because you have that person you can turn to. Our Care Navigation Team is here to help provide that guidance for our members after they leave an acute care setting, whether that's us or an ER.

This lack of continuity can limit the care that nurses and other healthcare providers can offer. Brya Twine, a nurse at our Beverly Hills Center, has seen the positive impact our care model has on our members.

There is way more collaborative care between all the medical professionals involved.

As premium as Sollis's care is—with state-of-the-art centers in four markets across the country and on-site advanced imaging and labs—our members receive the kind of individualized attention that's gotten lost giant hospitals and healthcare systems that are more driven by volume than the patient's experience. Ned Brower, a nurse at our Santa Monica Center, compares Sollis's approach to the family medicine of the past.

Here at Sollis, we're able to practice medicine in a way that is hard to find in the 21st century. We get to know our patients in a more personal way and foster relationships that ultimately enhance our patient's medical care.

From Our Doctors: "Our Nurses Are the Heartbeat of This Practice"

No one has higher praise for Sollis Health's nursing team than our medical leaders and physicians. Dr. Vikas Goswamy, Assistant Medical Director of our Coral Gables Center, describes our nurses as "the heartbeat of this practice."
From day-one shifts to late nights, they bring the clinical precision our members count on and the genuine warmth that makes Sollis feel different from anywhere else. That combination does not happen by accident. I am proud to work alongside all of them. Our nurses are the heartbeat of this practice, and the South Florida team represents the very best of what Sollis stands for.
At Sollis, every interaction with our members is an opportunity for thoughtful, connected care. For patients who may be nervous about going to the doctor, stressed out by an unexpected symptom, supporting a child or family member, or struggling to make sense of a medical emergency, our nurses "bring a level of compassion, attentiveness, and professionalism that defines the Sollis experience," says Regional Medical Director of Northern California Dr. Kendall Allred
Our nurses are often the first point of connection for members after they arrive at our centers and the steady presence throughout their care. Whether it’s managing complex clinical situations, anticipating needs before they arise, or simply offering reassurance in stressful moments, they consistently deliver with skill and heart.

A Special Thanks to Our Regional Nurse Managers

Behind every great nursing team is strong, experienced leadership. We’re proud to recognize the Regional Nurse Managers who set the clinical standard across our centers and support our nurses in delivering the best possible care every single day.

In a Crisis, You Deserve the Best

Healthcare at its best is personal and personalized. It’s a nurse who takes the time to learn your name, understand your history, and treat you like a whole person—not a chart. At Sollis Health, that’s not an aspiration. It’s our standard.

This International Nurses Day, we’re grateful for every member of our nursing team who makes it possible for us to provide the gold standard of concierge immediate care.
